PA Sangma Chair Prof for Tribal
Studies Launched at USTM

Home Minister James Sangma today launched the PA Sangma
Chair Professor of Tribal Studies at USTM on the
occasion of Teachers’ Day celebration. He offered the
keynote address as well as handed away awards honoring
senior Professors.
Launching the Chair, Home Minister Sangma said, “I am
thankful to Mahbubul Hoque for honouring my late father
with recognition of a Chair in his name in the
University on the topic of Tribal Studies which was very
near to his heart. On behalf of my entire family, I
thank USTM for this great honour.” He greeted all the
teachers on the occasion of teachers’ day and wished the
students a bright future as it was also the day of
Freshers’ Social at USTM today. The Minister also handed
over certificates and tabs to sixteen USTM students for
their hundred per cent attendance in the last academic
session. |
