9th Mile, Khanapara, Ri-Bhoi, December 9, 2022: The Journalist Association for Assam (JAFA) has recently conferred its Achievers Award for Educational Entrepreneurship to Shri Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor of the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya and Chairman Education Research and Development Foundation Guwahati for his significant contributions towards the society in the field of Education. The award was handed over by Shri Biswajit Daimary, the Hon’ble Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly on Sunday, 4th of December amidst an august gathering at the Award Ceremony organised by JAFA at Guwahati.
Mr Kunja Mohan Roy, General Secretary of JAFA stated that the award was given in recognition of his remarkable contributions towards the society by providing education to thousands of youth and knowledge seekers through various academic and outreach initiatives. “He has devoted his life for the betterment of the educational system, besides his philanthropic works of providing free education to the poor and needy students. We are indeed honoured to present him with the JAFA Achievers Award 2022 for inspiring educational entrepreneurship”, he added.
