Worthwhile to mention, keeping an eye to expand education to the farthest corner of the North East Region and to empower society through education, Education Research and Development Foundation (ERDF) was formed in the year 2005 under the chairmanship of Sh. Mahbabul Hoque, the visionary educationist and a post graduate alumni of Computer Application from Aligarh Muslim University. Today, ERD Foundation has emerged as the fastest growing educational network in the North Eastern region, catering education from KG to PG to Ph.D. Today, under ERDF group of institutions, more than 6500 students are studying in various disciplines and around 650 human resources are engaged in the foundation.
Khairun Nessa Begum Women’s College which is eighth venture of Education Research Development Foundation, had first started its academic session in 2015-16 to reverse the myth that minority women are not entitled to be educated. KBWC has set its goal to empower women specially the down trodden rural women belonging to minority communities. And for that education is the only powerful weapon through which they will be more conscious of their rights and thus attain self-reliance. KBWC is determined to create a world where all girls are empowered through quality education to realize their full potentialities & responsibilities, so that they can contribute to become a successful family manager & in the process make the society a better place to live in through participatory teaching learning process, maintaining community and religious culture”.
